Bharat Dashan is invites you to experience the best of the desert adventure in Western Part of Great Indian Thar desert. We are well equipped with Swiss Deluxe Luxury tents complete with Verandah, living cum sitting room and an attached bathroom with 24 hours of running water. 

The evening will be full of exciting and fun with melodious folk music and dance around roaring camp fire performed by Kalbeliyas and Langas there style of dance is impeccable. 

The night is more exiting as we had a lavish spread of delicious Rajasthani Food. To make the stay of our guests memorable we have camels to ride through the Sam desert.

02 nights/03 days

Places of visit: Jaisalmer - Unda - Bheelo ki Dhani - Koda - Khayala - Megha - Rividi - Sajeet - Jaisalmer

Day 01: Leave for the tour in the morning at 6:00 am by jeep to the campsite, 60 km outside of Jaisalmer, where breakfast is served in time to watch the stunning sunrise at the camp.

8:00 am to 12:00 noon - The adventurous camel safari starts with a visit to Unda village (a traditional Rajput village) after which the ride continues, also paying a visit to Bheelo ki Dhani (a village of tribal people).

12:00 noon to 3:00 pm - Lunch and rest in the shade of some trees near the oasis as the sun is fierce at this time of the day.

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm – This day camel trek begins from Koda village (Mixed caste village). You can watch native wild life and villages as you ride your camel through the isolated sand dunes (Khayala).

Continue your trek across the desert  and watch the breathtaking sunset view before arriving at your  campsite. After experiencing the desert you can start your evening by watching a delicious dinner being prepared for you over the camp fire and you can conclude your first day with the dreams of the desert while sleeping under the clear starry sky on your clean bed roll.

Day 02 : Waken up by sunrise served with your breakfast  & continues with exiting visits to sand dunes and villages options of Village or Desert s Wildlife tour.

From 8:00 am to 12:00 noon – You can experience the desert environment and get a glimpse of the desert vegetation and the mysterious creatures on the sand. The safari calls at Khayala village (a traditional village of Muslim people) and Megha village (a village of mixed caste).

12:00 noon to 3:00 pm - Lunch followed by rest in the shade of trees.

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm - The next destinations of the camel safari are Rividi village (a village of Paliwal Brahman people) and the beautiful Sajeet sand dunes brief halt for the mesmerizing sunset & retired of the day under the clear star studded sky in your camp.

Day 03 :Wake up with the dawn along with breakfast served and continues with your exiting & thrilling journey to villages and sand dunes.

8:00 am to 12:00 noon – You will once again experience the desert environment, you can view the desert vegetation and desert wild life (along with two villages on the way).

12:00 noon to 3:00 pm - Lunch and rest in the shade.

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm - Continue camel riding till you reach campsite. You will be departed to Jaisalmer by jeep you will reach Jaisalmer by 6:30 pm

Group of max. 6-8 persons                                         RS 1,250 per person per day

Group of min. 2-4 persons                                        RS 1,550 per person per day

 

Menu:

Breakfast: Tea, coffee, mineral/filtered water, toast with jam, porridge, fruit and eggs

Lunch: Tea, coffee, mineral/filtered water, 2 mixed vegetable dishes, chapatti, rice and fruit

Dinner: Tea, coffee, mineral/filtered water, 2 mixed vegetable dishes, dhal, chapatti, rice and fruit

 

Each of the above prices includes transfer to and from the camp by jeep, own camel to ride, all food, clean swags (bedrolls) and mineral/filtered water and are valid until 30th April 2016

IMPORTANT TRIP ADVISORY:

Basic Camel Riding Instruction:

The camel is a lovely and tame animal, however, certain care must be taken and instructions observed to make your ride as comfortable and safe as possible.

When mounting the camel lean back and make sure you are comfortable in your saddle

»

Hang your backpack on the saddle knob.

»

When the camel stands up or sits down, lean back again and hold the reins (mori) tightly

»

Always hold the reins when riding, as you will be rocked gently back and forth.

»

When turning right pull the right rein gently into the right direction, when turning left pull the left one to the left.

»

For galloping pull both reins together slowly and give the camel a slight kick on both sides with your legs.

»

To make the camel stop pull both reins backward quickly.

»

To make the camel sit down pull both reins and mouth the word "Jhu Jhu".

Should you wish to receive a demonstration of the above before the start of the trip, please just ask our trained drivers. Never provoke a camel or give it any sort of food!

PLEASE NOTE:

Food and mineral/filtered water will be provided at all times. Our camel drivers use only this water when preparing meals. All the food is vegetarian and freshly prepared over the campfire.

You do not need a sleeping bag as you will be given clean bedrolls, which will keep you warm and protect you from the sand. 

Remember to keep the desert clean and never leave any rubbish behind.
